First Presbyterian – Memorial Chapel – Greensboro, NC

We built this organ, our Opus 22 in 1994, to fulfill two goals of the organ committee. First – to construct an all mechanical organ within a limited budget and secondly – the organ must have a big plenum sound and be musically flexible to perform a goodly amount of standard organ literature. The result is this one manual organ of 16 ranks, with selected stops divided treble/bass and based upon an 8′ Open Diapason. Over a hundred concerts later, this concept – common to many 18th and 19th century instruments throughout the world – has proved its value many times over.
